A Fashion & Confidence Pep Talk: What Society Is Not Telling You

Hey Everyone!

I am really excited about this post because it is a collaboration with Guilianna from https://guiliannamarie.blogspot.com/ I have been following her blog for awhile and have always wanted to reach out to her, so when she asked if I wanted to collaborate I jumped at the opportunity.

Today we are talking about Fashion and Confidence. Now, I know what your all thinking, "Nikki, that's a little far from your usual topics and your niche overall.". Well That is kind of true and kind of not. I will be the first to admit I am not a fashion blogger by any means, but this post is not just about showing you three outfits that I feel confident in, but it is shedding a light on the topic of confidence when it comes to fashion that is somewhat overlooked by society.

I admire fashion and beauty bloggers, they show us the new trends of clothing and accessories and they look AMAZING on them. But sometimes I have caught myself feeling out of place and some what jealous.. I have found myself saying " That looks so cute, but I would never look good in that.."

and I started to wonder what about the outfits that I DO look good in? What about those outfits that I wear that always makes me feel like I am on top of the world?

For example I always love a cute Romper. This was the very first romper I bought for myself and I literally wear it ALL the time; church, school, work etc.

I think society fails to remind us that sometimes you will feel like throwing on the khaki pants and cute sweatshirt and other times you will be rocking the top on the right. Which is probably my favorite top ever!   Its okay if shopping is not your strongest suite, its not mine either and I actually use to be really insecure about that. Yes, I use to feel guilty that the only main reason I would go to the mall was to get food with friends. I was and still am a Goodwill, thrift store shopper by heart. The khaki pants and sweater? THRIFT STORE PEOPLE!

With all the next trendy outfits, it is so easy to knit pick everything about ourselves, but I challenge you to go inside your closet find your three favorite go-to outfit that makes YOU feel confident and on top of the world even if it's not necessarily the next stylish piece.
